I am a part of an organization from Southern California called the Union of Vietnamese Student Associations (UVSA/Tong Hoi Sinh Vien). A couple of us have read your article and was moved by what had happened. We sent out massive e-mails regarding the issue and have decided to put together a fundraising event to send out money to the family. We’re also doing a Social Awareness event on the issue of Self-Defense in the case that a situation like this might occur. We’d like to do anything we can to help the family.
